About Africa Our Home

Connecting people, knowledge and opportunities

Africa Our Home (AOH) is a mission-driven nonprofit organization committed to expanding access to education, digital empowerment, and cross-cultural opportunities.

We believe that knowledge can open doors, technology can create possibilities, and collaboration can bring people together to build stronger communities.

Rooted in West Africa, our work connects people, ideas, and opportunities through educational initiatives, digital learning, cultural exchange, and partnerships with institutions and communities.

Our Mission

To connect people and communities with learning, digital skills, and cross-cultural opportunities through locally grounded initiatives and collaboration.

Our Vision

A future where individuals and communities can access the knowledge, skills, and connections they need to shape their opportunities.

Our Approach: Learning Through Collaboration

We believe meaningful development begins with understanding people and the communities in which they live.

Our approach brings together local knowledge, educational resources, international perspectives, and collaboration. We seek to:

Develop and support educational initiatives that respond to learning needs.
Create opportunities for cultural exchange and international learning.
Encourage digital inclusion and practical technology skills.
Build relationships with institutions, educators, organizations, and community stakeholders.
Share knowledge and resources that support lifelong learning.

We value mutual learning. Our international programs are not simply about bringing people to Africa; they are also about creating opportunities for participants and host communities to learn from one another.

Different initiatives. One shared mission.

Our Initiatives

Africa Our Home brings together initiatives serving different audiences and addressing different learning needs. Together, they contribute to our wider mission.

AOH Global Programs

Our international programs connect students, universities, volunteers, associations, and other participants with educational, internship, and cultural exchange experiences in West Africa.
